Andrew, now 65, previously denied hosting a birthday party for Maxwell during his controversial BBC interview in 2019. Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence for helping Epstein abuse underage girls.

He rejected the suggestion that it was a birthday celebration, saying: “No, it was a shooting weekend. Just a straightforward shooting weekend.”

Journalist Emily Maitlis challenged Andrew by pointing out that during the time of the alleged “shooting weekend,” Epstein had been “procuring young girls for sex trafficking.”

Andrew responded that he saw “no indication that that was what (Epstein) was doing” and has consistently denied any wrongdoing.

Titles Stripped and Eviction Ordered

Earlier this month, Andrew was stripped of his remaining titles and honours due to his association with Epstein.

King Charles has also ordered Andrew to vacate Royal Lodge, with the former Duke of York expected to leave in the new year.

The former royal’s downfall follows renewed allegations in a posthumous memoir by Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre, who repeated claims that Andrew had sex with her on three occasions when she was a teenager.

Andrew has denied these allegations.
