However, a spokesperson for the prince has denied this, confirming that the announcement was simply an error. Speaking to the Express, the spokesperson said Harry did not ask to be referred to by that name.
The Royal Family has not commented on the incident.
Harry is believed to have since returned home following his trip, and is expected to spend Christmas at his Montecito residence with his wife Meghan Markle and their two children, Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four.
