For many royal watchers, this would come as little surprise. The brothers have been estranged for several years, with relations reportedly deteriorating sharply after Harry stepped back from royal duties in 2020 and relocated to the U.S.
The situation is said to have worsened further following the release of the Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan in 2022, and Harry’s explosive memoir Spare in 2023. Since then, although Harry has made several trips back to the UK, it is believed William has consistently avoided meeting him—and has no intention of changing that stance.
Even on occasions when King Charles has reunited privately with Harry at Clarence House, Prince William has reportedly chosen not to attend, underscoring just how deep the divide between the royal brothers remains.
