The Prince of Wales and King Charles are both expected to travel to America, though on separate occasions. King Charles, now 77, is reportedly planning a visit in April to mark the 250th anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Declaration of Independence. Meanwhile, Prince William, 43, is expected to travel to the U.S. next year during the FIFA World Cup, where he is likely to make appearances showing his support for the event.
Both trips are also thought to align with broader UK government efforts to strengthen diplomatic and trade ties with Washington.
Despite Prince Harry’s reported hopes that his father might visit him and his children at his Montecito home during the King’s U.S. trip, broadcaster Mark Dolan believes such a reunion is highly unlikely. Speaking on The Daily Expresso podcast, Dolan suggested that not only will King Charles avoid such a visit, but Prince William is expected to deliberately distance himself from Harry when he is in America.
“William will absolutely blank and ghost his brother very deliberately in the United States,” Dolan claimed, describing the move as the “ultimate snub.”
