Kate Middleton has quietly been putting her creative touch to work as she and Prince William settle into their new family home. The couple recently moved with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis into Forest Lodge in Windsor, a place they reportedly see as their long-term base. The transition came earlier than expected. Builders finished ahead of schedule, which allowed the family to move in while the children were enjoying their half-term break.

For Kate, the move is more than a change of address. She has always taken an active role in decorating their past homes, from Nottingham Cottage to Anmer Hall and their apartment at Kensington Palace. Forest Lodge is much larger than Adelaide Cottage, with eight bedrooms and far more space to reflect the princess’s preference for a contemporary yet classic aesthetic.
