Not far away, a dark sedan rolled carefully along the icy street. In the back sat Adrian Cole, one of the richest businessmen in the city, dressed in an immaculate suit and warm coat, a gold watch at his wrist. He was late for an important meeting, his phone buzzing nonstop.

Then something outside caught his eye.

Across the road, in the deserted park, he saw a small figure stumbling through the snow, clutching three tiny bundles. Adrian leaned toward the glass, hardly believing what he saw. Where were the parents. Where was anyone.

“Sir, shall I continue” asked the driver.

Adrian did not answer. Something inside him that had long been silent stirred.

“Stop the car,” he said quietly.

He stepped out into the freezing air and hurried across the snow. By the time he reached them, the boy lay collapsed, lips trembling, the infants giving faint cries. Adrian dropped to his knees, stripped off his own coat and wrapped it around all four children, shielding them with his body as he called emergency services.

“Please hurry,” he said. “There is a boy and three babies. They are freezing.”
