Christmas traditions returning for the Wales family

The royal calendar continues later this week, as the Prince and Princess of Wales prepare for the annual Together at Christmas carol service. Hosted by Princess Kate at Westminster Abbey, the event has become one of the season’s most beloved traditions since it began in 2021. This year’s service will focus on celebrating love in all its expressions, with more than fifteen community carol services taking place across the country in parallel.

Westminster Abbey will welcome around 1,600 guests, each of them recognised for their generosity, service or efforts to bring people together in their communities. While it has not yet been confirmed whether George, Charlotte and Louis will join their parents at the service, they attended last year’s event, so many think it is likely they will appear again.

And even though the Wales children are present at key moments throughout the year, their parents remain careful to balance public duty with a childhood that still feels normal. Wherever they turn up this December, they will undoubtedly bring an extra glow to the season.
