In September of last year, a judge ruled that Harry’s visa records would remain sealed. Still, Trump warned that the Duke could face deportation if he had been dishonest.

“We’ll have to see if they know something about the drugs, and if he lied they’ll have to take appropriate action,” Trump said in March 2024.

Trump Declares He “Wouldn’t Protect” Harry

Just weeks before that, Trump had also made it clear that he would not intervene on Harry’s behalf if he returned to the White House.

“I wouldn’t protect him. He betrayed the Queen. That’s unforgivable. He would be on his own if it was down to me,” he told the Express, adding that the Royal Family had been “too gracious” to Harry after “what he has done.”

Harry Fires Back on The Late Show

Until now, Harry has rarely commented directly on Trump. But during Wednesday night’s show, he took a sharper tone.

For the segment, Colbert and Harry performed a sketch where the Duke jokingly auditioned to star in a Hallmark-style movie titled Gingerbread Christmas Prince Saves Christmas in Nebraska. While acting out the bit, Harry remarked that the U.S. seemed “obsessed” with royalty.
