Over the weekend, Andrew’s daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, were notably absent from Kate’s annual Christmas carol concert, despite reports that both had been invited. The sisters were said to have had prior commitments.
Eugenie, 35, later addressed their absence on social media, saying: “Wish Bea and I could have been celebrating tonight with our family. Wishing @princeandprincessofwales such a special evening at her incredible carol service. What an amazing message of love and hope.”
A Carol Service Focused on Love and Community
This year’s event, hosted by the Princess of Wales, centred on celebrating love “in all its forms,” while recognising individuals across the UK who act with compassion in their communities and help build a more connected society.
Kate has often spoken about the moral values instilled in her during childhood and her desire to pass those same lessons on to her own children. Insiders say her recent cancer diagnosis has only strengthened her commitment to those principles.
