A source previously told New Idea that Harry was “desperate” to visit with Archie and Lilibet — “but not without adequate security in place.”
The insider went further, saying:
“The UK is special to him, but it would’ve been a security nightmare.”

King Charles: A Grandfather Waiting
King Charles is believed to have last seen Archie and Lilibet during Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee in June 2022.
He has only met his grandchildren a handful of times, and despite his upcoming state visit to the U.S. in 2026, he reportedly has no plans to detour to California to see Harry’s family.
This makes Harry’s potential return to the UK — with his children — even more significant.
Harry’s brief reunion with his father in September, their first meeting in 19 months, left the prince saying the visit “brought closer” the possibility of bringing his family back.
