Charlotte’s Christmas photo moment didn’t end there. As she continued greeting people, her father gently urged her to catch up.

A video shared by Hello! magazine showed Charlotte stopping for several photos while Prince William, 43, walked ahead with Prince George, 12, and Prince Louis, 7.

“Charlotte,” the Prince of Wales called out.

“I’m coming,” she replied with a smile, taking time for one more snapshot before moving on.

Following in Her Mother’s Footsteps

Charlotte’s warm interaction with the crowd echoed the approach of her mother, Princess Kate, who is known for lingering to greet well-wishers.

After the Christmas service at St. Mary Magdalene in Norfolk, royal reporter Rebecca English of the Daily Mail noted that the Princess of Wales “lagged behind on the way out, shaking as many hands as possible.”

A similar scene played out during the Sandringham Christmas outing in December 2024. Princess Kate, 43, fell well behind Prince William and their three children as she chatted with members of the public who had gathered to see the family.

Realizing her husband and children were far ahead, the royal mom joked to the crowd, “I seem to have lost my family!”
