A Surprise Appearance at Sundance

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex made an unexpected appearance in Utah on Sunday, attending the Sundance Film Festival in Salt Lake City for the premiere of Cookie Queens, an upcoming documentary about Girl Scouts for which they are executive producers.

Speaking to the press, Meghan, 44, reflected on how her own childhood experiences influenced her decision to support the project and addressed whether Lilibet might one day follow a similar path.

Meghan’s Girl Scout Roots

“It really embeds such great values from the get-go,” the former Suits actress told Deadline.

“I was a Girl Scout, my mom was a troop leader, and I think the value of friendship… and self-belief is an integral value that comes with being a Girl Scout.”

When asked if four-year-old Lilibet would join a troop when she is old enough, Meghan shared a thoughtful response.

“I think we’ll continue to explore whatever feels right.

“Working on this project has been incredibly special as parents, as mothers to be able to see something our girls will be able to enjoy and watch as well.”
