Sources say the transition has been disruptive not only for Andrew but also for staff who previously worked at Royal Lodge. Many of them reportedly lost their accommodation when the lease ended and were offered significantly smaller housing elsewhere.
A drastic change in daily life

According to sources quoted by The Sun, Andrew is now facing a reality very different from the one he has known all his life. With long-serving household staff no longer in place, he may be forced to carry out basic tasks himself.
“It’s possible for the first time in his life he will have to open the front door to people himself,” one source said, adding that only a skeleton staff is expected to remain.
Another insider claimed that many staff declined to relocate to Sandringham, describing the area as isolated and saying few were willing to continue working for Andrew. Staff on the King’s Norfolk estate have reportedly been told they are under no obligation to serve him if they feel uncomfortable doing so.
“There is already quite a list saying no thanks,” a source said, describing Andrew as a “total pariah” among estate workers.
