Elliot stared at it in disbelief, his mind racing to grasp what he had never seen.
“You do not own any of it,” Naomi said calmly.
“That is not possible,” he snapped, his voice breaking.
Catherine stepped forward slightly and said, “All assets were transferred into a foundation years ago, along with scholarships and educational programs.”
Rachel turned to Elliot, her voice trembling as she whispered, “You told me everything would be ours.”
Naomi’s voice answered immediately, “Thank you, Rachel, that clarifies your role.”
A lab report appeared next, followed by a video of Naomi speaking from a chair, pale but composed.
“These tests confirm long term poisoning,” she said, looking directly into the camera, “and I allowed it to continue so I could understand everything.”
Elliot tried to interrupt, claiming she was unstable, but even the priest spoke quietly.
“She sounds clearer than anyone in this room right now.”
Then came the final blow.
Naomi revealed his debts, the promises he made to dangerous people, and the plan he had to use her death as payment.
The room erupted again, voices overlapping in disbelief and horror.
“You cannot prove any of this,” Elliot shouted desperately.
