Kyle immediately made arrangements and asked his men to investigate the crime scene and ask around. He didn't stay idle, either. After saying goodbye to Charlie, Kyle went to the laboratory to keep an eye on the inspection.
Then, there were only Charlie, Coroner Zander, and me in the autopsy room.
"Wait." Charlie put on his gloves calmly, took the tweezers from Coroner Zander's hand, fiddled with my fingernail, and picked out a tiny black thing from it. "Look, what is this?"
"Hey, I didn't see it just now. Put it in. I'll bring it to the laboratory later."
Coroner Zander brought the evidence bag, put the thing in it, and said cheerfully, "Professor Hector, you've got sharp eyes. I'll have to trouble you to help me more."
"If we find more clues, we can let the deceased rest in peace soon."
Charlie hummed lightly, staring at my body with an expressionless look.
After a while, Coroner Zander suddenly thought of something and said, "Do you remember that man who was also ruined by sulfuric acid and died last month? I heard that the young man was a social news reporter for the News Daily. I remember your wife is also a reporter for this newspaper, right?"
