Ethan held Linda in his arms, looking around.
"She's not here."
I feel ridiculous.
My mom had died, but he didn't even know it.
"It's fine if you make a scene, but you shouldn't have your mom move out. Don't you know she's ill?"
Ethan frowned and looked at me, and his eyes were full of disappointment.
I sneered and said nothing.
Seeing my expression, Ethan suddenly said in a cold voice, "Isn't she sick?"
"Ethan, I told you that they had been lying to you. Her mom pretended to be sick, and now they want to run away from home. They are trying to make you marry her."
"That old woman taught her daughter how to force you. Now, she left and wanted to blackmail you."
"They could do this because they took the chance to help you when were you in trouble."
Linda seemed to find out something and started to speak loudly.
"Slap!"
Before she finished her words, I stepped forward and slapped her.
"Julissa!"
Ethan was angry.
He walked forward and pushed me away, pulling Linda behind him to protect her.
I fell to the floor and felt dizzy.
After calming down, I endured the pain and slowly stood up.
Fortunately, my mom's photo was not broken.
