Behind the Husband's LiesChapter 1
On Children's Day, I was swamped with work, so I asked my husband, Logan Williams, to look after our daughter Mia.
However, instead of taking care of her, he left her alone and went to the playground with his first love, Bella Linsey, and her son.
He often justified his actions by saying, "Raising a child alone is hard for Bella. As a mother, you should be empathetic and not so petty."
For the sake of the love we once had, I kept compromising until Bella started meddling with Mia.
That was the breaking point. I divorced him, determined to free myself and my daughter from his and Bella's toxic influence.
Desperate and pitiful, he begged for forgiveness, but his pleas fell on deaf ears.

"Chloe, there's an emergency at work. Could you pick up Mia from the library?" he called me that day.
"Sure," I replied.
After hanging up, I saw him not far away, wearing a heavy costume headgear.
He was making exaggerated gestures to amuse a little boy, with Bella cozily standing beside him.
If he hadn't removed the headgear due to the heat, I wouldn't have recognized him. There he was, the man who usually prided himself on his appearance, now a sweaty mess.
