I walked up to Gianna.
“Thank you, Miss Carter, for helping me out. Please keep this a secret, although there may not be much to keep secret.”
Gianna nodded, looking into the distance and sighed.
“You’re hiding here? Do you need my help?”
“No, thank you. I’m doing fine.” Gianna seemed to think I had misunderstood her. She wasn’t offering money but asking if I’d be in trouble if found.
I thought the Turner family had long given up on me.
A few days later, the young ladies returned to Evolle City, and I remained unbothered. I was completely at ease.
The ski resort owner didn’t care about status or background.
He seemed to think I had offended some rich kids and made things difficult for me daily.
One day, the boss announced that a big shot from Evolle City had booked the entire resort for the next day, so it would be temporarily closed.
I felt a bit uneasy and quickly took leave from the owner, deciding to hide at home.
When I woke up in the morning, I had a foreboding feeling, and my intuition to pack up and stay in the town for a few days grew stronger.
Before I could finish packing, the boss called, asking me to come back and deal with a guest.
