Just when I was about to break down, Erin Waston answered my call.
"Jason is in the pet hospital. Is there anything wrong?"
My heart sank, and I couldn't help but ask,
"I thought he was bringing over the drug. What's he doing there?"
There was silence for a few seconds, and then another person's voice came. It was Jason.
He sounded calm, with a hint of impatience,
"I forgot about that. I'll ask my assistant to bring it over."
I listened to him, and my mind went blank.
I had no time to question him,
With a pale face, I almost begged,
"Jason, my parents and my siblings are in a critical condition now. The doctor said they must take the drug now. I hope you can..."
Before I could finish speaking, Jason interrupted me,
"Got it."
For fear that he might forget about it again, I repeated,
"Please be quick, please. Please ask your assistant to come over immediately."
"They can't hold it any longer..."
But Jason only found me annoying.
"Are you done talking? I've already brought back the drug. What else do you want from me? If you say one more word, the drug will be delivered an hour later."
I bit my lips tightly, not daring to make any sound.
"Jason, the dog seems... to be dying."
