I frowned. Sometimes, I suspected that Emery had forgotten what had happened over three years. Three years ago, Matthew loved her the most, so she couldn't accept that Matthew was with another woman, alleging that Matthew had abandoned her.

Matthew's face twisted for a moment. Then he hung up the phone and turned it off.

Matthew quickly calmed down and coaxed me. "Rosalia, let's rest. Don't let this kind of lunatic affect your mood."

I nodded and lay on the bed. Matthew wrapped his arms around my waist and held me in his arms, making me feel the most secure.

"Go to bed, baby." He kissed my hair gently.

I tried my best to suppress the irritation in my heart and fell asleep.

In the middle of the night, I was awakened by thirst. Sitting up, I found that Matthew wasn't next to me. I touched it and found that it was cold.

I put on my clothes and went out of the room, only to see Matthew smoking on the balcony. The cigarette was flickering in his hands, and he looked lonely. Next to him, it was a vibrating cell phone.

I was despondent at this sight.
