On one occasion, I got drunk at a classmate's birthday party, and Galen had something to do, so he asked Boris to pick me up.
Pushing his hand away, I staggered forward but still remembered to keep my distance. Just as I was about to reach out to hail a taxi, he pulled me back.
He sighed helplessly. "You still hold a grudge."
Boris did not give up. He ruffled my hair and spoke in a doting tone.
"Be my girlfriend and I'll let you get revenge."
My mind, which was in turmoil, suddenly became clear. Boris was afraid that I would shake my head, so he held my cheek with his hands.
"Since you've rejected my gifts so many times, you can't reject me this time."
I blushed and nodded for no reason.
He would accompany me to evening studies and the library, and bring me sugar water when I was not feeling well. All in all, he was very attentive.
Galen often complained to me.
"Mina, Boris must have a girlfriend. You don't know how often he has been out recently.
"It's unfair. We said we'd be single together, but he has a girlfriend first."
I couldn't control my blushing and my heartbeat, and I didn't dare look Galen in the eyes.
While chatting with Boris in the evening, I discussed how to confess to Galen.
