Clara and several others laughed loudly and stirred up trouble, making it noisy and lively.

But I was despondent.

On the first day, I found that the whole class was filled with groups of people familiar with each other. I was overwhelmed. I didn't like to take the initiative to introduce my family background or talk to others. In other words, I was more introverted.

If no one knew each other, someone might choose me as a friend. But if many people knew each other, no one would pay attention to me.

The only one who paid attention to me was the head teacher.

Caleb's family greeted the head teacher and wanted him to arrange for Caleb to sit with Clara. There were several reasons.

Firstly, Clara had good grades and could help Caleb with his studies.

Secondly, Clara had always been Caleb's desk mate with no romantic relationship between them. The Moore family thus felt relieved. It was their unilateral perception as far as I was concerned.
