"Matt Williams, if you missed the text message, let me say it again-
"Let's break up!"
Matt's eyes widened, looking at me incredulously, his brows furrowing even deeper.
He remained silent for a while, then angrily questioning me.
"Mona Morris, isn't it just that I didn't come to pick you up that day? Do you have to throw a tantrum like this?
"I've explained it to you clearly. There's nothing going on between Addie and me. She has always been afraid of the dark. That night, we were just..."
I sneered incessantly.
It seemed that my sneer hurt the guilty Matt.
He got even angrier and held my shoulder. "What are you laughing at?"
I restrained all my laughter and stared at him coldly.
"Matt Williams, I used to love you, but don't take me for a fool. Ask yourself. Do really nothing happen between you two?
"You are my boyfriend. If she's afraid of the dark, why can't she find someone else to accompany her instead of you?"
It was just her sophistry, trying to deceive others, but in the end, he deceived himself as well.
Matt frowned and looked at me like I was being unreasonable.
