To delay time, I asked her to arrange a detailed physical examination for me.
"I don't believe it. After I finish checking, Paisley will urge me to go to her place."
I finished checking the last item. Then Henry rushed over.
He looked a bit anxious.
"Linda, Paisley said she couldn't reach you on the phone. She asked me when you would go over to her place. The doctor is still waiting. Since you're done here, let's hurry over there."
I suddenly felt a chill in my heart as I looked at this man, who had shared the same bed with me for many years.
I squeezed out a few tears and choked.
"Henry, my cousin said I bled and needed to stay in the hospital to take care of the baby. Please let Paisley know that I won't go to her place for a check-up."
My cousin blamed Henry cooperatively.
"Fortunately, Linda came in time today. Otherwise, the baby in her belly would not have been saved."
I looked at my cousin and smiled knowingly, thinking, "I don't believe that they can take me to Paisley's place since I'm here."
Of course, I didn't tell my cousin the truth. I was afraid she would tell my parents and make the two elders worry.
