During the event, Megan suddenly disappeared and I ended up being the one drinking on behalf of the two brothers.
I drank so much that I ended up slumped over the table. In a daze, I vaguely remember someone saying they would take us somewhere to rest.
When I opened my eyes again, it was just the three of us in the hotel room.
Yale hadn’t drunk much. He fell asleep when he got tired, so he remembered everything clearly from the night before.
Noah felt a bit dazed for a moment and the memories of last night slowly came back to him.
He no longer waited for my answer and made a call to Megan. “Where are you?”
On the other end, the woman's voice was a bit sleepy, filled with complaints. “Mr. Jill, I don’t know who locked me in the bathroom last night. The hotel staff just started their shift and I haven’t been let out yet. It’s so cold at night and the window hasn’t been closed all night. I’ve caught a cold.”
Noah frowned slightly. “Why didn’t you tell me sooner? So dumb.”
Although it was a scolding, it was hard not to hear the concern in his tone.
“I’ll call the hotel staff right away; there should be surveillance footage at the bathroom door. This matter will not be settled just like that!”
