Richard's expression suddenly changed and he looked nervous and uneasy.
"Why are you vomiting blood? Let me ... take you to the hospital!"
Darlene pushed him away and stared at me fiercely.
"What do you mean by deliberately not hiding? Are you trying to frame my family for domestic violence? Do you want me to bear such a bad name?"
"Don't think you can run away just because you pretended to spit out blood. Stay at home and don't go anywhere!"
"Mop the floor clean! It looks so dirty."
Then she turned and went into the room to pack her bag.
Oliver gave me his water bottle.
"Olivia, here ... drink some water!"
My father sighed.
"You know your mommy is a bit strict, but it's all for your own good."
"We specially invited your uncle here to help you. You should understand our good intentions."
So my father thought so.
In the room, my mother started arguing with him again.
"You lied so much to avoid going to school! You even cursed yourself to be blind!"
"Tell her that even if she dies, I will burn her homework so that even if she becomes a ghost, she can't escape from studying!"
My mother's words were like a knife, digging deeper into my wound.
