He then picked Regina up and told his assistant to drag me into the car. When we arrived at the hospital, Regina kept crying and shouting that she would have a scar. I was sweating from the pain, but I still heard Michael’s cold voice.
"Elizabeth hurt you, so I’ll give you her skin!"
I trembled in fear, but then I saw someone familiar nearby. It was my mother’s personal maid. I listened closely and heard them speaking.
"Why hasn’t Miss Elizabeth come yet? Madam is dying!"
In that moment, all the fear inside me disappeared. When I thought about my mother, tears streamed down my face.
"Michael, I’ll give Regina the skin graft, just let me see my mother one last time. She’s next door!"
Michael laughed with anger.
"You’re an orphan. How could you have a mother? You should pick a better time to lie!"
Regina leaned against him, looking very weak.
"Mrs. Coldsworth, don’t you want to save me? Forget it. I’ll just lose the baby and leave. It’s all my fault."
She said that, but she didn’t move.
Michael gritted his teeth and signaled the assistant. The assistant locked the door. Outside the room, I heard my mother’s maid crying. I became more anxious.
