I asked the brand I was working with for a Haute Couture gown that was both tacky in color and rubbish in style, and they gave it to me just to save face. I didn't even bother to look at it and gave it directly to the nanny.
But they obviously didn't believe this statement.
"Cheap stuff? I said Scarlett doesn't know the quality of the product. It's a foreign designer brand, limited edition. You can't buy it in China even if you have connections!"
"A woman who has never seen the world is not afraid of being laughed at."
Some people even mocked me with malicious intent:
"She never tells the truth. Damien, it's a good thing you two haven't gotten married yet. You might as well cancel the engagement right away. It's better not to have a woman like her."
"Even if I marry her in the future, who knows how vain and capable she will be. In the upper class we still have to find someone of equal status when we get married."
Damien looked at me with contempt, with a look of superiority on his face.
"Scarlett, we brothers are playing with you today to give you face, don't be ungrateful."
"There are so many girls lining up to marry me. If it weren't for Harrison, how could I even look at you?"
