Felicia spoke as she pulled one hundred dollars from her pocket and tossed it into the egg liquid. The woman picked up each bill from the egg splatter and placed it on the small table in front of Edward.
“Young lady, I don’t want your money. I just want my seat back.”
“Actually, I just had surgery recently. My leg was badly injured and the doctor told me not to stand for long periods of time. My husband fought for this seat for three days and nights straight. I won’t trade it for any amount of money.”
Edward stared at the one-hundred-dollar bill now soaked with egg liquid. With a look of disgust, he pushed the money onto the floor and grabbed Felicia’s hand.
“Forget it, Felicia. I won’t sit here anymore. It’s really dirty and bothersome…”
As he spoke, Edward stood up again. But before he could get up, Felicia stopped him.
“Edward, listen to me. Just sit down quietly.”
Felicia’s eyes softened as she gently ordered Edward back into the seat. The woman’s face instantly twisted with rage.
