Wanda froze. She finally turned to look at Julian with an inquiring gaze.
"Wanda, I'm sorry, I caused you trouble again.”
Julian apologized first, then, taking advantage of the situation, he shifted the blame and slandered me. "Tristan was angry and didn't want to hand over the work to me properly, so we had a conflict."
“He didn't push me—I tripped during the argument.”
His words only added fuel to the fire.
Wanda glared at me and scolded even more indignantly, "Do you still try to wriggle out of it? This is clearly all your fault! Apologize to Julian! Or you're fired!!"
She was biased and believed anything he said. She wanted me to bow my head to him in front of everyone to humiliate me!
“Then fire me.”
“As of today, I am no longer an employee of your company.”
Leaving that sentence behind, I turned and walked away.
For a moment, Wanda was taken aback. When she was about to chase after me, Julian suddenly clutched his arm and cried out in pain.
She immediately abandoned the idea of following me and shifted her attention to his injury.
I left the company, got into the family car and headed to the airport to return to Tulice Country. I took nothing but my identification documents.
